An innovative new Harrogate-based company are changing the way small artisan food and drink producers can market and sell their products online.
Launched in late 2015, The Great British Exchange (The GBE) are a business-to-business site, sourcing the best of what Britain has to offer from small artisan producers and designers and providing a one-stop online shop for independent retailers to source quality stock from.
The company aim to join-up the two groups by making sourcing and buying simpler for busy retailers, whilst providing small producers with a secure route to a variety of retail markets.
The GBE is the brainchild of Matthew Hopkins, whose experience in working with large high street retailers led him to create the concept, which now also has a dedicated showroom for retailers to visit and see the products first hand.
“There is no one else working to bring retailers and British products together to trade in one place online. Our aim at The GBE is to connect these two groups and make buying and marketing products easier.
