The team at a Bradford-based garden centre group are celebrating after winning a national Sustainability award for the second year running.
Yorkshire Garden Centres, owner of Tong, Tingley, Bingley and Otley Garden Centres, plus Dean’s York and Scarborough, won the prestigious accolade at the 2024 Garden Centre Catering Awards.
Yorkshire Garden Centre’s Commercial Director, Sharon McNair, said: “Sustainability and community are the heart of our business and we are investing significant time, money and manpower to achieve our sustainability ambitions.
“From harnessing solar power and harvesting rainwater to using green electricity and improving our waste streams, we have already taken many steps to achieve our goals and are proud that our team’s efforts have been rewarded with this prestigious award.”
