Events return to Minskip Farm Shop

Events at Minskip Farm Shop are returning after a hiatus due the Coronavirus lockdown.

The family run shop and café based close to Boroughbridge have started running Busy Birds outdoor learning sessions for under 6’s as well as introducing new weekly yoga sessions with a twist!

Owner Emma Mosey, who runs Minskip along with husband Ben said: “Our events have always been really popular but obviously with the government restrictions earlier in the year they couldn’t take place.

“We’ve teamed up with Busy Bees Outdoor learning to provide children with a place they can get muddy and creative with craft projects as well as being able to explore the farm and meet the animals.”

The award-winning farm shop have also introduced weekly Outdoor Yoga on the Farm classes which start this weekend.

The classes are open to everyone and instructor Lucy will guide participants through the movements out in the field surrounded Minskip’s array of animals.‍

Emma continues: “We’re really excited to be offering our new yoga classes.  As well as the physical benefits that yoga brings, being outside amongst the animals helps you to align with nature and really relax – it’s the perfect Sunday morning activity!”

As well as the outdoor events resuming, the Minskip team have also been able to welcome customers to their new Yolk Farm Kitchen, the world’s first egg restaurant located on a working free-range egg farm.   Originally due to open at the beginning April, the launch had to be delayed due to the government restrictions.

“Whilst we’ve been able to keep the shop open and support customers with deliveries over the past few months, sometimes doing 100 deliveries of fresh produce a day, our new café opening had to be postponed which was really disappointing at the time.  We were thrilled to of been able to finally open our doors in July however and welcome our first customers.   Since then we’ve been busy and had really great support from customers who are enjoying our new menus and outside seating area.”

The Minskip team plan to expand their range of events over the coming month to include art and nutrition classes as well as more children’s events on the farm.  For more information, to book a place on an event or a reservation in the Yolk Farm Kitchen during peak times, visit their website www.yolkfarm.co.uk
