The team at Keelham Farm Shop in Skipton are celebrating after scooping a prestigious industry award.
The family run farm shop were shortlisted for the Best Farm Shop and Deli in the North earlier in the year as part of the Great British Food Awards 2020. The finalists were then put to a public online vote which saw the North Yorkshire store crowned as winners from the shortlist of five other businesses.
The national awards, which are run annually and cover a number of categories across food and hospitality aim to celebrate the country’s finest artisan products and businesses. Launched in 2014 the judging panel includes a number of well-known and respected chefs and food and drink experts including Raymond Blanc OBE, Masterchef’s Monica Galetti, Olly Smith and Miguel Barclay.
Opening their doors in 2015 the Keelham Farm Shop team are committed to stocking and supporting locally grown and produced products in their stores. The Skipton shop currently stocks products from more than 400 farmers and suppliers and also offers customers an instore bakery, juicery, alehouse flower shop and award winning butchery as well as a restaurant and café.
The Great British Food Award is that latest accolade for the already award-winning business who have received more than 60 national and regional industry honours since their opening.
Keelham are currently open during the current lockdown restrictions and are also offering an extended contactless click and collect service for customers 7 days a week with hourly time slots avaliable 9am-7pm, Monday to Friday and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
