xxxxxLast year was a record breaker with over 300 entries from some of the finest regional producers.  Thanks to our partners at The Yorkshire Post, the awards gained masses of regional media coverage, topped off with a fabulously glittery awards ceremony at the Pavilions of Harrogate, hosted by friend of DY and BBC Radio personality Nigel Barden.

As always our awards will be judged by a panel of industry experts including chefs, supermarkets buyers, food critics and industry experts.  During judging week, our expert panel nibble, gulp and munch their way through the entries deliberating over who is to be crowned out Taste Award Category Winners 2016.

For our non-product entries, which include categories such as best afternoon tea and best use of local produce on a menu, our friends over at professional mystery shopping company Shopper Anonymous will be returning to cast their expert eye over the regions best loved eateries.

Entries are open from Friday 1st July and close Friday 12th August, giving you six weeks to get your entries into us.  We’ll be giving you regular updates and reminders through our social media and our Yorkshire Post Country week page – so keep you eyes peeled!

P1070325Judging will take place across 3 days in late August (dates tbc) with the final shortlist of produced announced in 9th September.
