Two Yorkshire businesses have collaborated to create a unique salami.
Ilkley-based Lishman’s Butchers and Charcutiers have created a new salami using Filey Bay STR Finish single malt whisky from Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery at Hunmanby.
Jenni Ashwood, Marketing Director at Spirit of Yorkshire, said: “Lishman’s award-winning range of charcuterie was inspired by holidays to Tuscany where the Lishmans tasted charcuterie and visited local producers. Over the years, they have developed recipes combining traditional techniques with local produce, and we’re proud to have collaborated to produce Pork and Filey Bay Whisky Salami.
“Here at Spirit of Yorkshire Distillery, we’re always looking for innovative ways to showcase the unique character of our single malt whisky. This winter salami is a delicious blend of Yorkshire Pork and Yorkshire whisky, with a hint of Tellicherry pepper for warmth.”
