YoYo Laos Sauce Founders Become the Largest Importers of Lao Coffee to the UK

The team behind an award-winning West Yorkshire based hot sauce company have become the largest importers of Lao coffee to the UK.

YoYo Laos Sauce, founded and run by husband-and-wife Yoyo & Frazer, have marked a major step in their mission to raise awareness of Laos and its rich culinary heritage with their newly launched YoYo x Comma Coffee Lao Arabica.

Bringing the distinctive taste of Laos to British coffee lovers, it reflects the same ethos that drives the company’s sauces; authenticity, sustainability, and great taste.

Working directly with a roastery in Laos and connecting with local farmers producing high quality coffee, the move into coffee deepens the brand’s social impact mission, with a proportion of every sale supporting mine clearance projects in Laos through the Mines Advisory Group (MAG).

Co-founder Frazer Rhodes MBE said: “We’ve always wanted YoYo to be more than just sauces.  It’s about celebrating Laos, it’s cuisine and its people.

“Laos produces some of the finest coffee in the world, but it’s still largely undiscovered and we’re proud to change that and to support ethical trade”.

The milestone comes after a successful year for the Halifax based team who are building on their growing recognition after winning Overall Winner at the UK National Chilli Awards, multiple Great Taste Awards, and gaining exciting new listings with prestigious retailers including Selfridges, Booths Supermarket and Farmer Copleys.
