taste awards finalists 2025

The beers have been sipped, the pies have been savoured and the 2025 Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards shortlist is ready to be unveiled!

A team of industry experts including chefs, supermarket buyers, writers and consultants descended on the Great Yorkshire Events Centre last month to work their way through a record number of entries from the region’s finest food and drink businesses, in a bid to whittle down hundreds of tasty products into this year’s list of finalists.

With thanks to our Headline Sponsor:

WINNER TO BE ANNOUNCED 4TH NOVEMBER

Celebrating their 21st anniversary, the Taste Awards, run by Deliciously Yorkshire, the Regional Food Group for Yorkshire and the Humber, have grown to be the largest and most respected awards of their type in the North of England.

The 26 awards categories include Best Beer, Pork Pie and Bakery, Fresh Meat, Spirits and Best Sustainable Product as well as a number of non-product categories such as Best Independent Retailer, Best New Business and Rising Star.

The Taste Awards welcome back Booths supermarket as their 2025 Headline Sponsor, a business who have championed artisan producers and supported the work of Deliciously Yorkshire for a number of years.

This year’s Taste Award Champions will be announced at a glittering black-tie event at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday 4th November, an evening of celebration where guests will dine on a menu featuring many of the shortlisted products.

The ceremony will also include the announcement of the Rising Star of 2025 – this year’s new award for an emerging trailblazer who is making waves in the early stages of their career – as well as the Judy Bell Yorkshire Food Hero Award, presented to an individual who has gone above and beyond to promote and champion the industry.

The 2025 Taste Awards Supreme Product Champion will be unveiled, awarded to the entry which this year’s judging panel deemed to be the overall standout product of the year.

“The categories in the Taste Awards look to highlight the very best of food and drink crafted, grown and served in the county, and boy did Yorkshire’s businesses come up trumps this year! Judging is a pleasure as we always uncover something new and innovative, but the standard this year has been incredibly high across the board, making the task that much harder. It’s testament to Yorkshire’s thriving food and drink industry that these awards continue to grow and thrive, even after 21 years, and we can’t wait to unveil this year’s Taste Awards champions in November.”

Nigel Barden – Head Judge
