Ingredients
8 Thick pork sausages
200g Cooking chorizo (optional)
2 Diced peppers
1 Red onion sliced thinly
1 tin of Haricot Beans
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
200ml water
GR Posh Sausage Cassoulet Mix
Method
- Brown the sausages in a pan to seal in the flavour then add them along with the peppers, red onion and drained haricot beans to the slow cooker pot.
- Blend the sauce sachet with the water and add in along with the tinned tomatoes. Stir thoroughly.
- Cover and cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on medium or until the meat is tender and cooked through (keep covered during cooking. Cooking times may vary between slow cooker models).
- Remove the lid and let it stand for 5 minutes before serving.
- Top Tip: for an extra dash of decadence, replace the half of the water with red wine, reserving the rest of bottle to enjoy alongside it one cooked!
