A North Yorkshire artisan spirit producer has released a new limited-edition gin to mark the transition into spring.
Inspired by brighter days, lighter evenings and the changing mood of the Yorkshire coast, Whitby Distillery have unveiled their new Coastal Curiosity Blood Orange Edition.
Founded in 2017 by Jessica Slater and Luke Pentith, the new addition to their award-winning range has been carefully crafted with sharing and slowing down in mind and uses fresh blood orange peel alongside soft florals, gentle warming spices and a subtle touch of cacao to bring depth and warmth without sweetness.
Co-founder Jess Slater said “The gin has been created to capture a sense of freshness while still holding on to the comfort of the colder months.
“Coastal Curiosity is where we let ourselves play, giving us the freedom to experiment and respond directly to what our customers are asking for. They’re small, one-off batches inspired by a moment or a season.
“The blood orange gives this one a real lift for spring, and the florals and cacao add that softness and depth we love. We recommend serving with plenty of ice, Fever-tree Mediterranean Tonic and a strip of orange peel, finished with a sprig of thyme or bay leaf.”
