The team at Foston on the Wolds based Side Oven Bakery are set to hold their popular Winter Farm Walks Open Day again next month.
Welcoming visitors on Sunday 8th February between 10am – 3pm, the day will include guided wildlife walks led by experts from the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at intervals throughout the day, and are an ideal way to enjoy the beautiful rural East Yorkshire countryside.
Back by popular demand are the Makara Morris group, who will be performing a ‘Wassail’, an ancient blessing of the fruit trees in hope of a bountiful harvest in Autumn and performed at midday.
Situated on the edge of the Wolds near Driffield, the Sellers family have farmed there for 6 generations and now produce a wide range of award-winning organic products including breakfast cereals, bread mixes and fruit loaves, and the bakery will be open throughout the day serving freshly baked breads, croissant, cakes and hot refreshments to visitors.
