taste awards finalists 2024
The beers have been sipped, the pies have been savoured and the 2024 Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards shortlist is ready to be unveiled!
A team of industry experts including chefs, supermarket buyers, writers and consultants descended on the Pavilions of Harrogate earlier this month to work their way through a record number of entries from the region’s finest food and drink businesses, in a bid to whittle down hundreds of tasty products into this year’s list of finalists.
With thanks to our Headline Sponsor:
Booths was founded on one simple aim, to sell the best food and drink available. Recognising excellence in locally produced food and drink is vital in the food industry and we’re proud to support 20 years of celebrating the best that Yorkshire has to offer.
Nigel Murray – Managing Director of Booths
Congratulations to all our shortlisted businesses
we look forward to seeing you all at the Pavilions in November!

WINNER TO BE ANNOUNCED 6TTH NOVEMBER
Celebrating their 20th anniversary, the Taste Awards, run by Deliciously Yorkshire, the Regional Food Group for Yorkshire and the Humber, have grown to be the largest and most respected awards of their type in the North of England.
The 23 awards categories include Best Beer, Pork Pie and Bakery, Fresh Meat, Spirits and Best Sustainable Product as well as a number of non-product categories such as Best Independent Retailer and Best New Business.
The Taste Awards welcome Booths supermarket as their 2024 Headline Sponsor, a business who have championed artisan producers and supported the work of Deliciously Yorkshire for a number of years.
This year’s Taste Award Champions will be announced at a glittering black-tie event at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday 6th November, an evening of celebration where guests will dine on a menu featuring many of the shortlisted products.
The ceremony will also see the announcement of this year’s Judy Bell Yorkshire Food Hero Award, presented to an individual who has gone above and beyond to promote and champion the industry, as well as the 2024 Taste Awards Supreme Product Champion, awarded to the entry which this year’s judging panel deemed to be the overall standout product of the year.
Each year, Yorkshire food and drink businesses out-do themselves with the quality of entries and it was no exception in our 20th year of holding these awards. It’s a real pleasure to see Yorkshire businesses continuing to innovate and create the most delicious products. Judging week is always something I look forward to, and yet again the county’s food and drink producers have done themselves proud! As ever, narrowing hundreds of entries down into our shortlist has been a serious challenge, but one the panel has relished!
