Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards 2024

A huge celebration of the county’s food and drink businesses, the Taste Awards are now the biggest of their kind in the north of England and attract hundreds of entries from food and drink businesses throughout Yorkshire and the Humber.

This year’s line-up includes all the usual food and drink categories, plus our ever-popular business awards including Best Sustainable Product and Best Use of Local Produce on a Menu.

The awards are a great way to get your products and business in front of a huge range of industry experts on a massive regional stage.

This year’s esteemed judging panel will include food writers and critics, chefs and retail buyers who will be working their way through the entries of our 23 categories in early September to determine our 2024 shortlist, with our winning products and businesses announced in November.

The 2024 winners will be revealed on Wednesday 6th November, at a glittering black-tie event at the Pavilions of Harrogate hosted by artisan food expert Nigel Barden and Chef Consultant Steph Moon.

As well as revealing the winner of each category, the evening will culminate with the announcement of the coveted Supreme Champion, awarded to the product which the judging panel agree is the standout entry of the year. Also unveiled will be the winner of this year’s Judy Bell Yorkshire Food Hero Award. Named in honour of the late and great founder of Shepherds Purse Cheeses and chair of Deliciously Yorkshire, the title is awarded to an individual who has gone above and beyond to champion Yorkshire’s food and drink industry.

Entries close on at 5pm on Wednesday 31st July 2024.

Businesses who have entered the Taste Awards can also nominate an individual who has gone above and beyond for the Yorkshire food and drink sector. Past winners have included Gareth Batty MBE of FareShare, Tom Mellor of Wold Top Brewery, and Karl & Mandy Avison of Cedarbarn Farm Shop & Cafe.

This award is named in honour of former DY chair and true Yorkshire food hero Judy Bell, founder of Shepherds Purse Cheeses.
