David Otterburn who runs *Ryeburn of Helmsley* has been awarded the prestigious Champion of Champions accolade by the Ice Cream Alliance – the trade body for the UK’s £1billion ice cream industry.
David’s Nutella flavoured ice cream was declared the best of the best at the National Ice Cream Competition final in London.

David, added: _”As former dairy farmers, we really know our ingredients and will always make that extra effort to get the best flavour.”_
His ice creams, which are made in a small unit just behind his ice cream parlour at Church Farm, Cleveland Way, Helmsley, have also won awards for the best in show and best Yorkshire dairy product at the Yorkshire Show as well as the first Prince of Wales Award for outstanding contribution to dairy products.
Zelica Carr added: _”Every year David works harder than ever to perfect his entries and this success shows that his ice creams are exceptional._
