Pontefract-based Farmer Copleys have announced a new food festival taking place this summer.
The team’s inaugural Food Fest will be held across the weekend of Saturday 21st August and Sunday 1st September.
The festival will be a relaxed family event, with quality local food vendors, backed up with the award-winning on-site farm shop, both providing delicious products and sampling throughout. There will also be a range of food trucks offering tempting artisan street food, along with live country music.
The new event comes after a busy and successful few months for the family run business, with the being Farm Shop awarded the much sought after accolade of ‘Farm Shop of the Year’ by the Farm Retail Association (FRA) recently, alongside their newly opened Dessertery in the popular Copleys Kitchen. Launched last summer, it creates a range of homemade produce including honey from their onsite beehives and countless flavours of gelato made with Yorkshire milk and British sugar.
