Growth in Sales Sees Expansion for The Yorkshire Crisp Company


South Yorkshire based Yorkshire Crisp Company have expanded their premises following a substantial boost in sales.

The firm, who produce a range of award winning hand-cooked crisps and gourmet popcorn from their Sheffield factory enjoyed a boost in their turnover by 28% for 2017 and have now expanded into an adjacent unit giving them a total of 14,060 square feet of manufacturing and office space on the Waleswood Industrial Estate situated between Sheffield and Rotherham.

Founded in 2005 by farmer, Ashley Turner, the company is proud of its local heritage with Yorkshire Crisps being produced from potatoes grown on the Yorkshire Wolds and the packaging sourced from Yorkshire suppliers.

The expansion means that extra production shifts are now able to be put in place to cope with the growth in demand for the products, seeing the Yorkshire Crisps production line now in operation 24 hours a day and exporting their products across Europe and as far away as Uruguay, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.

The company also supplies several hamper companies with crisps and popcorn as well as independent retailers and supermarkets throughout the UK.
