HECK! have launched a new product to help brides ensure sunshine on their special day.
The old wives’ tale of burying a sausage for good weather, has recently become an internet trend and the family run company, based near Bedale have launched their new ‘Bride’s Lucky Sausage’ to help.
Brides (often with their bridesmaids) bury the raw sausage – usually late in the evening before the wedding, to ‘plant’ good weather.
The new wedlock wiener has been specially created for wedding season, made to the company’s best-selling pork sausage recipe.
Mica, a former Emmerdale actress who now works at HECK!, where she also met her husband Roddy on the sausage line said: “I buried one the night before our wedding and the sun shone all day. It sounds mad – but it worked for me!”
