Based in Grassington near Skipton in the Yorkshire Dales, Dales Dairies produce, process and distribute milk across the North of England. We are a family run business, established in 1938 who have worked with the Free Range Dairy Network Community Interest Company (CIC) since 2015.
The Free Range Dairy Network Community Interest Company (CIC) was established in 2014 and promotes recognition for traditional, family farms, by giving consumers the chance to choose free range milk. Our aim is to provide a voice for the farmers who want to graze their cows and to secure grazing rights for cows.
The Free Range Dairy Network Community Interest Company (CIC) was established on value rather than volume, by promoting a way of farming that:
• Pays a fair price to farmers who meet the Free Range Dairy standards.
• It gives cows the freedom to graze for a minimum of six months a year (180 days and 120 nights)
• Delivers healthy, affordable milk for consumers.
We established free range milk as a way to show very clear provenance and grazing credentials that offers an additional choice to standard or organic milk.
Profits generated, help support the Free Range farms by paying a premium for the milk produced.
Dales Dairies Free Range milk can be delivered to retail, hospitality or food manufacturing businesses either directly or indirectly via the dozens of local milkmen that we supply.
