Member Networking Evening – 4th October, Anna’s Happy Kitchen

Join us at the next in our series of regional networking events!

This FREE to attend event is kindly being hosted by Anna Longthorp of Anna’s Happy Trotters.

The Longthorp family have been farming for 4 generations and have a huge passion for all aspects of British farming. Originally a purely arable farm growing crops, pigs were added into the mix some thirty years ago to make better use of the grain and straw produced. Fully free range since 2007, only 1-2% of pigs are produced this way in the UK. Anna’s pigs are produced to the highest welfare standards and as well as being Red Tractor Assured and Freedom Foods accredited their commitment to animal welfare has been recognised by Compassion in World Farming.

As well as their passion for their animals they are passionate about sharing the “field to fork” story and how important it is to think about where our food comes from.

Having established the Anna’s Happy Trotters brand in 2008, a wholesale business that supplies their own free range pork and bacon products into high end butchers shops, farm shops, catering and retail from their own on farm processing facility, they decided to take that one step further to complete the “field to fork” story which is how Anna’s Happy Kitchen came about.

So, come and join us at Anna’s Happy Kitchen to learn more about Anna’s journey, the huge challenges facing the industry, her work with Ladies In Pigs and the Bite Into British campaign, and what drives her.

The event will run from 6 – 8pm and as well as hearing from Anna it is a great opportunity to meet and network with fellow food and drink businesses. Light refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome so spread the word!
