The Yorkshire Food Hero Award is named in honour of the inspirational Judy Bell MBE. Judy was involved with Deliciously Yorkshire from its beginnings back in 1989 and was a tireless and passionate advocate of Deliciously Yorkshire and the work it does supporting, promoting, and championing Yorkshire food and drink producers and businesses locally, nationally, and internationally.
Judy was passionate about Yorkshire food and drink, collaborative, resilient and generous with both time and knowledge, challenging and encouraging people to take their business to the next level and with a work ethic second to none. She was truly the ultimate and original Yorkshire Food Hero.
This lifetime achievement award will recognise an individual who has demonstrated their commitment to Yorkshire food and drink over an extended period and will be announced at the Deliciously Yorkshire Taste Awards dinner on 3rd November 2026.
Please note that you must have already entered a product or non-product category in this year’s Taste Awards to nominate someone for the Yorkshire Food Hero, and you can’t nominate yourself!
