Ingredients
3-4kg Shoulder of ham joint
3 Tablespoons of Sweet Chilli sauce
3tbsp demerara sugar
Method
- Place the ham in a roasting tin and roast in the oven for 5-8 hours at 130 degrees
- Remove the skin from the ham leaving as much fat as possible. Score the fat in a criss-cross style
- Spread the sweet chilli sauce all over the ham then sprinkle over the sugar
- Roast for a further 20 minutes at 180 degrees
- Remove the ham from the oven and leave the ham to rest for 20 minutes
- Pull apart the cooled ham with a fork creating shreds of the tender meat
- Serve with homemade coleslaw and sweet potato fries
