Serious Sweets Company brings Mr Stanley’s home to Harrogate

A North Yorkshire based confectionery business has acquired former Harrogate brand Mr Stanley’s with plans to bring it home to Yorkshire.

Mr Stanley’s was born in the county over 15 years ago and has been owned by a London based confectionery wholesaler for a number of years. Recently bought by The Serious Sweet Company who produce a range of premium confectionery, Mr Stanley’s has secured listings with Selfridges & Co, Liberty of London and a number of premium independent retailers across the UK for their range of fudge, chocolate, brittles and caramel.

As well as updating the branding to include ‘Harrogate’ across all product packaging, the company plan to extend the product range with a number of new creations.

Pippa Moore, Brand Manager at the Serious Sweet Company said: “Having already exhibited at The Harrogate Food & Drink Fair, Malton Food Festival and the Great Yorkshire Show with great success earlier in the year, we’ve got exciting plans in the pipeline to continue the relaunch of Mr Stanley’s throughout Yorkshire by tempting the senses with samplings at various events throughout the region.”

“It’s an exciting time to be bringing Mr Stanley’s home to Yorkshire within county’s thriving food and drink scene and we can’t wait to introduce more people to this special product and their popular flavours which include ‘Fudge Ahoy’ a creamy caramel and sea salted fudge and ‘Mighty Malted’, a marvellously malted chocolate fudge, as well as a whole range of other tempting treats in their portfolio.”
