Celebrating Yorkshire Excellence
Entries for the region’s largest food and drink awards are now open and we’re looking for the county’s finest producers, retailers and hospitality businesses to get involved!
Now in their 16th year, the Deliciouslyorkshire Taste Awards have grown to be the North’s most prestigious industry accolades, with the event attracting hundreds of entries from businesses of all shapes and sizes.
A real celebration and recognition of all that’s great about Yorkshire’s thriving industry, the Award entries cover some 24 categories and will be open for the next 8 weeks to producers and hospitality businesses based in Yorkshire and the Humber.
A week of judging will then take place at the Pavilions of Harrogate in early September with a host of chefs, food writers and critics, as well as supermarket buyers and retail experts, and of course Yorkshire food enthusiast BBC Radio 2’s Nigel Barden getting involved in whittling the entries down into the 2019 shortlist.
Judy Bell, Chairman of Deliciouslyorkshire and founder of Shepherds Purse Cheese said: “We’re really excited to launch our 16th annual Taste Awards celebrating and showcasing our region’s businesses.
“Yorkshire is such a powerhouse of innovation and the Awards are a great way to showcase this.”
“Yorkshire and the Humber produce some of the best food and drink in the world, let alone the country and these awards are a great way to shine a spotlight on them!”
Entries are open now via the website and will close on Saturday 31st August.
This year’s glittering black tie awards ceremony is taking place at the Pavilions of Harrogate on Wednesday 6th November where the great and the good of the Yorkshire food scene will gather to hear our 2019 winners announced.
