The Yorkshire Crisp Company is to launch a brand new flavour to its range of delectable gourmet crisps. Hot on the heels of the award-winning Roast Lamb & Mint flavour, the new addition ““ ‘Sweet Cured Ham & Pickle’ will be introduced as a ‘guest flavour’ in the single 40g bags.
Featuring the subtle sweetness of home-cured ham with a smoky hint and finishing with a tang of pickle, this new flavour will be the perfect picnic accompaniment for 2013.
The Yorkshire Crisp Company selects perfect, locally-grown potatoes or parsnips and slices them into hot sunflower oil where they are hand-fried for a few minutes then drizzled with totally natural flavours while they are still warm. Great British crisps made in Yorkshire!
The launch of the ‘Sweet Cured Ham & Pickle’ crisps will take place at Fodder, the award-winning farm shop and cafe at the Great Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, HG2 8NZ on Friday 15th March from 11.30am. Come along to try the new flavour and meet the team from The Yorkshire Crisp Company. There will also be a free prize draw to win a box of Yorkshire Crisps.
The team at Fodder are passionate about local food and want to help local farmers and producers sell their products and make it as easy as possible for consumers to access amazing, local food. They now support 310 farmers and small producers and offer a tempting range of wonderful artisan food and products in their farm shop and cafe.

All our bags and drums feature Yorkshire heritage images and the image chosen for the new flavour was taken at the Great Yorkshire Show as there’s ‘nowt’ more Yorkshire than that! It’s a perfect complement to our brand and packaging. That’s also the reason we chose Fodder as the venue for the launch as it is situated on the Great Yorkshire Showground.”
‘Sweet Cured Ham & Pickle’ flavoured Yorkshire Crisps will be available at Fodder and other usual stockists from 15th March. Yorkshire Crisps now have 12 different flavours in their range. They are available in 40g single bags, 150g large sharing bags, 500g catering packs and the company’s unique 100g re-sealable, stay-fresh drums (selected flavours depending on pack size).
