Yorkshire-based scone giant Haywood & Padgett has acquired the award-winning snack brand Nibnibs in a deal which heralds an exciting new chapter for the innovative snack company.
Nibnibs founder Darren Everitt explains: “We’re thrilled with the opportunities that have opened up thanks to the recent acquisition. The investment from Haywood & Padgett will allow us to expand our production capabilities, enabling us to bring a host of exciting new products to the marketplace.”
Nibnibs emphasis on provenance, quality and choice have led to a remarkable period of growth for the brand and was a major factor in bringing the manufacturer to the attention of Haywood & Padgett.
Following the acquisition, the Nibnibs brand will continue to grow, under the leadership of Darren and his wife Susan Dixon who will focus on expanding the brand’s share of the snack market.
With resealable packaging, the Nibnibs brand taps into the popularity of ‘snacking on the move’ with high-quality products that can be enjoyed anytime, anywhere.
Commenting on the acquisition, managing director of Haywood & Padgett Wayne Padgett says: “The acquisition of Nibnibs will help us fulfil our ambitions for rapid growth and expansion in the savoury snack sector. We’re delighted to be working with Darren and Susan – their enthusiasm and creativity have helped build a really exciting brand and with our investment we’re looking forward to seeing the brand grow and develop further.”
Both Nibnibs and Haywood & Padgett will have a presence at the International Food Exhibition in London and at further trade shows abroad to grow both the domestic and export markets.
