Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil included in national Best Brands Survey for third consecutive year

The team at North Yorkshire family business, Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil is celebrating after being included in the Guild of Fine Food’s Best Brands Survey for the third year running.

Published by Fine Food Digest, the Best Brands Survey showcases the best-selling and best tasting products that are available from delis, farm shops and food halls throughout the UK.

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil’s flagship Natural Cold Pressed Extra Virgin Rapeseed Oil was awarded second place in the Oils and Vinegars Category of the Best Brands Survey 2015-16.

The judges concluded: “Year after year, Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil and Farrington’s transcend the supposedly regional limitations of their product to get on the leaderboard.”

Jennie Palmer, who runs the farm based business with her husband, Adam, said: “We’re incredibly proud to have made the Top 3 in this prestigious survey for the third consecutive year and we’d like to thank all of our loyal customers who have helped us to achieve this accolade.”

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil was established in 2008 by Adam and Jennie Palmer on their family farm in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds. They produce a range of oils, dressings and mayonnaise based on their Great Taste Two Gold Star award winning rapeseed oil that is produced exclusively from home and Yorkshire Wolds grown rape and blended, bottled and labelled on the family farm.

The oil is used in Michelin starred kitchens, including the Pipe and Glass at South Dalton, in East Yorkshire and all oil products are preservative, GM and gluten free and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil products are also available at farmers’ markets, farm shops, delis and independent retailers throughout Yorkshire and nationwide at selected food festivals.
