Artisan Yorkshire producer launches recipe book

An award-winning Yorkshire-based rapeseed oil business has launched its first recipe book.
The team at Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds made famous by David Hockney, has launched ‘Cooking with Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil’, featuring over 100 original recipes using cold pressed extra virgin oils, dressings and mayonnaise.

Michelin starred Yorkshire chef James Mackenzie, chef patron of The Pipe and Glass Inn, near Beverley in East Yorkshire, provided the foreword to the 164-page book and also supplied a recipe. The chef uses the oil in many of his dishes and describes it as ‘superlative’.

Jennie Palmer, Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil co-founder, said the recipe book was filled with recipes that she and her parents, Angie and Paul Boyer, devised using the farm pressed and bottled rapeseed oil products. Jennie’s parents also designed and produced the book.
“We’re so proud to finally launch this book, after months of planning and we’d like to thank all the contributors who helped make our idea a reality!
“We really enjoyed putting it together and I hope that it inspires people to use Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil products to give their cooking a tasty and nutritious edge.”

The recipe book will be available to purchase at the BBC Good Food Winter show at the NEC Birmingham, November 27 – 30.
Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil will also be exhibiting at a number of events and markets around Yorkshire including York St Nicholas Fair, November 27 – 30 and the Harrogate Christmas Fair, November 27 – 30.

The recipe book costs £12.99 and is also available to purchase online at http://www.yorkshirerapeseedoil.co.uk/shop/recipe-book.html, at delis, independent retailers and farm shops.
It also comes as part of a gift hamper that contains 500ml Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, 250ml Oak Smoked Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil, 250ml Yorkshire Rapeseed Oil with Garlic and 220ml Honey and Mustard Dressing for £28.
