Award winning chef is SNAP-ped up by recipe box company

A North Yorkshire based recipe box company have announced the appointment of a renowned local chef.

JASON WARDILLSNAP! who produce and deliver recipe boxes throughout the region using Yorkshire produce have brought in Jason Wardill who will develop new seasonal recipes to go into the monthly boxes.

Originally from Bridlington, Jason brings a wealth of experience having worked in some of the best kitchens across Yorkshire including Swinton Park, Rudding Park and Hotel du Vin.  Most recently, he and his partner Emma have taken over The New Inn at Huby, near York.

Jason said: “It’s a very exciting time for us.  Not only am I the new landlord of The New Inn but we have the fantastic opportunity to work with SNAP! which is aiming to reconnect local food producers with food consumers.

We are so lucky to live in Yorkshire where the produce is some of the best in the world.  I’ve already been busy developing new recipes for the July box, focussing on seasonal, classic ingredients to create great tasting dishes.”

Thirsk based SNAP! continues to go from strength the strength with customer numbers growing month on month since it started in October last year.  The small dedicated team take the hassle out of cooking at home with easy to follow recipes using produce from over 35 local growers, farmers and independent food producers to bring the very best local ingredients from the field to your fork.
