Botham’s Open New Enterprise Way Tea Room

Iconic Yorkshire bakery Botham’s of Whitby have officially opened their new Enterprise Way Tea Room in the historic seaside town.

Charming and characterful, the new tearoom and bakery shop has been designed to combine the nostalgia of their Yorkshire baking roots which date back to 1865, with modern-day chic and has opened its doors to visitors for morning coffee, brunch, lunch or afternoon tea.

Based in Whitby’s business park, the Tea Room shares the same space as their Enterprise Way Bakery Shop, allowing customers to dine in the Tea Room and pick up fresh bakery loaves, bakes and cakes as part of their visit.

Lois Borrett, Director and great-great-granddaughter of Elizabeth Botham who founded the company said: “We’re really excited to open our new Tea Room on Enterprise Way, which has been in development since 2022.

“We’ve been overwhelmed by the support from customers near and far, and it’s been a pleasure welcoming everyone into this beautiful, new space. We’d like to say a special thank you to our fabulous Tea Room staff, old and new, who have shown unwavering dedication to the business, and contributed greatly to a successful opening. After a very busy first week, it is safe to say we have found our feet!”

Enterprise Way joins Botham’s two other tea rooms and five shops in the area and offers seating for seventy-two customers, and the capacity to accommodate larger bookings whilst offering an intimate setting for smaller parties and couples.  The new site enjoys views across to Hawsker fields, and further development of an outside seating space and family fun area is due to be completed soon.
