The team at the Bottled Baking Company are celebrating after having their award winning products stocked nationwide in two major department stores.
The company, who produce a range of quirky baking kits in sustainable glass bottles containing all the ingredients needed to bake cakes, cookies or brownies will see their range featured on the shelves of both John Lewis and Selfridges from this month.
Owner Greg Fraser who founded the company in 2017 said: “The latest listings with John Lewis and Selfridges are fantastic for us after a very busy 2020.”
“The growing popularity for baking during the spring and summer lockdown saw the business and online orders double and we were able to grow the team from one member of staff to eight to keep up with demand.
“Looking to the year ahead we’re planning to be expand our production space in East Yorkshire to handle the large increase in orders and also hope to open a larger fulfilment space in Leeds to manage the increase in web orders too.”
The newly expanded team have also been working on developing and launching new and seasonal products lines to add to their core range which will be available to buy this spring. The new Scrumptious Jelly Bean Cookies and Eggcellent Mini Egg Cookie mixes, will both will be available to buy online and in stores in time for Easter.
Following the success and expansion plans, the team are also celebrating after being awarded the top spot in the Food Gift category in the 2021 Gift of the Year awards which aim to recognise the best new products, talent and innovation across a number of industry areas each year.
Greg continues: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won the best Food and Category at these prestigious awards. We were up against some really well known and innovative products so to of won overall means an awful lot and is a great way to start what will hopefully be a successful 2021.”
