Chapter One Bistro wins prestigious award Good Food Award for 2019!


A Malton based bistro are celebrating after scooping a prestigious food award.

Chapter One Bistro, have been awarded the Good Food Award 2019 accolade after been nominated and voted for by their local customers.

Located in the historic North Yorkshire town’s Market Place, the Bistro has prided itself on being a welcoming and relaxed eatery, serving exceptional food throughout the day and using produce from a number of local businesses including Paleys Greengrocers, Fletcher’s Butchers of Norton and also Malton Fisheries.

The Awards, which were formed in 2002 aimed to synergise awards throughout the catering industry and are now revered throughout the country as sign of quality.  Businesses are judged on a number of factors such as customer feedback over the previous year, food hygiene standards and food quality and during this time, with Chapter One Bistro demonstrating outstanding standards of food service, quality and value. 

Owner Jackie Scott, said: “We are thrilled and humbled to have won this fabulous award.  It came as a huge surprise and was only possible due to the support and dedication from the fantastic team that we have here.  They work so hard to provide a top quality service to the people who matter – our customers and we pride ourselves on serving only the best food that has been prepared onsite using locally sourced produce, from making our own salad dressings to our slow cooked BBQ pulled pork.”
