Charlie & Ivy celebrate Booths listing

The team at a North Yorkshire rapeseed oil business are celebrating after winning a contract to supply Booths supermarkets with another of their award products.

Thixendale based Charlie & Ivy’s will now supply the independent, family owned supermarket group, known as the Waitrose of the North, with their new White Balsamic, Tarragon and White Peppercorn bread dipper in 21 of their branches across the region.

Adam Palmer, co-founder of Charlie & Ivy’s said: “We developed the brand for informal entertaining with friends and the versatile dippers are fabulous simply with crusty bread and amazing drizzled over salads, pastas or pizza.  We were delighted when Booths started selling four Charlie & Ivy’s Bread Dippers last spring, and we’re excited to be adding to that range with our new dipper this year.”

Established in 2014 by husband and wife team Adam and Jennie Palmer on their farm in the Yorkshire Wolds, the Charlie & Ivy team produce a range of oils, dressings and mayonnaise using locally grown rapeseed oil that is pressed, blended, bottled and labelled on the family farm.

Suitable for vegetarians and vegans as well as being gluten and GM free, the new White Balsamic, Tarragon and White Peppercorn dipper was awarded a coveted gold star last year in the Guild of Fine Food’s Great Taste awards, with the judges commenting: “As a bread dipping oil it is well balanced and flavoursome; we can also imagine it drizzled over salads and other dishes too. Perhaps even poured over your Sunday roast chicken! There are many uses for this oil. Delicious.”

Charlie & Ivy’s award winning range are available to buy nationwide through independent stores and online retailers as well as through their own website www.charlieandivys.co.uk
