Its definitely Christmas at Filmore and Union! Last night I was very lucky and invited to their launch party for their Christmas menu. I sampled parts of the Christmas menu in canepe form, they were delicious and can’t believe they’re good for you too! Why not try the Christmas menu for yourself?

Starters
Roast parsnip, sage and spiced apple soup
Warm salad of roasted beetroot with walnuts, watercress, mascarpone and a lemon and balsamic dressing
Serrano ham salad with Harrogate blue cheese, slow roasted peppers, toasted pistachios and a sweet cider and herb dressing
Warm pear and goat’s cheese tart with honey served with apple and tomato chutney
Oak smoked salmon & horseradish pate with cucumber pickle, toasted rye bread
Mains
28 day aged Rib eye steak with a pink peppercorn and rosemary rub served with Jerusalem artichokes, wild mushrooms and a wholegrain mustard & orange sauce
Celeriac and sweet potato gratin with walnut & thyme streusel, slow roast tomato dressing
Slow cooked lamb tagine with orange & sweet potatoes with chestnut & cranberry crumb
Spiced fillet of coley with hazelnut and orange picada, celeriac & tarragon mash
All our main courses are served with a selection of seasonal winter vegetables
Desserts
Warm plum & apple crumble with granola topping and cinnamon yoghurt
Warm chocolate, hazelnut and fig torte with orange mascarpone
Blueberry and rosemary crème brulee with an almond & lemon florentine
