Crossing The Black Cat’s Path Brings Good Luck for SNAP Recipebox

SNAP North Yorkshire based SNAP Recipebox have announced an exciting new partnership to help grow their popular online business.

SNAP, who produce seasonal recipe boxes using locally sourced ingredients have teamed up with talented Yorkshire chef Liam Root, owner of The Black Cat Bistro in Holmfirth, to bring their expanding customers base even more delicious recipes.

Launched in October 2015, the Thirsk based team deliver their quality, seasonal Yorkshire ingredients direct to customers doors with each box containing the ingredients and recipe cards to cook three quick and healthy meals, aiming to take the hassle out of cooking at home.

Passionate about using and supporting local producers, the family firm also has an environmentally friendly ethos to the business, aiming to reduce food miles as well as waste by providing pre-measured ingredients in exact quantities so each box creates zero food waste.

Now working with more than 35 Yorkshire producers, the recipe boxes showcase the very best of local food and drink and the new partnership will create new recipes and ideas for forthcoming months.SNAP 1

With customer orders continuing to increase, we now offer a regular, monthly UK-wide delivery, spreading the word about the provenance and promoting our smaller suppliers to a much wider customer base. Liam’s flair for cooking with Yorkshire local produce speaks for itself and by bringing him into the kitchen, our customers can look forward to imaginative new flavour combinations and discovering some fantastic new Yorkshire ingredients.’

Liam who runs the Bistro with partner Sophie Bebb, serves French inspired home-style cuisine and pride themselves on using locally sourced ingredients.  ‘We are very excited to be working with SNAP Recipebox and believe we are a perfect fit as we share the same values of using locally-sourced, ethical and Fairtrade ingredients in our cooking. Our menus are based on seasonal produce with an evening menu that changes every week according to the availability of ingredients ensuring high-quality, locally sourced meals on your plate every time.’
