Deliciouslyorkshire and Agricultural College launch unique new Local Food Event

A new Yorkshire Food Event is being launched by deliciouslyorkshire the region’s food and drink body and Askham Bryan Agricultural College near York.

deliciouslyorkshire is a not for profit organisation providing vital support to a diverse range of food and beverage producers, retailers and distinguished hospitality operators in the Yorkshire and Humber Region. Our members are private sector enterprises creating sustainable employment in the region and providing a vital economic backbone for our rural communities.

Over the last 7 years the team have established in deliciouslyorkshire, a well recognised brand providing respected business support services to a vibrant and growing membership. The provision of timely and valued services is at the heart of deliciouslyorkshire’s purpose, and the team is committed in supporting our membership in every way possible.

Tapping into the growing trend for local produce the new monthly indoor farmers market starting on Sunday 7th October will showcase the great food and drink produced in Yorkshire.

Offering a wide variety of produce from fresh meat, veg and dairy to speciality foods, bakery and drinks the market will reflect the wide variety of members that make up deliciouslyorkshire.

“Working with Askham Bryan college gives us the perfect, convenient location to make quality local produce available for the public” said Ed Cartwright of deliciouslyorkshire, “Our members produce some of the finest food and drink, much of which is only available direct not in the supermarket so being able to purchase it at the farmers market not only gives you fresh and unique food and drink but also supports independent businesses and keeps money in the local economy”.

Provenance and shopping local have never been higher on the consumer agenda and this new event combines the quality traceable produce of deliciouslyorkshire’s members with the event management and agricultural links of Askham Bryan College.

As well as the indoor food and drink producer stalls the event will also feature, quality catering businesses offering delicious ready to eat food for visitors to enjoy as part of the whole experience.
