Deliciouslyorkshire, the Regional Food Group for Yorkshire and the Humber are looking for new voluntary Board Members to join their team.
As well as running the Taste Awards, the biggest food and drink accolades in the North of England, Deliciouslyorkshire, based at the Regional Agricultural Centre offices in Harrogate provide a range of opportunities and activities for food and drink producers within the county including training, marketing support, networking events, discounts at both regional and national shows and routes to market.
Current Chair of the Deliciouslyorkshire Board and founder of Shepherds Purse Cheeses, Judy Bell MBE said: “We’re looking for dynamic and enthusiastic individuals from within our industry to join our board and help drive the business forward.”
A membership organisation, Deliciouslyorkshire currently have 250 producer and associate members covering all areas of food and drink production and support from breweries to bakeries, confectioners to spirit makers, many of whom are award winning both nationally and internationally.
Judy continues: “Yorkshire’s food and drink sector is so innovative and exciting with many fantastic businesses of all shapes and sizes. Our awards this year were our biggest to date and highlighted the strength of the industry even after a tough couple of years.
“We’re looking for enthusiastic people from within our industry with a range of skills and specialisms to support the DY executive operationally with agreed projects or at events to help accelerate our future growth and really push the businesses and the region forward.”
A fantastic opportunity for the right candidates, to be eligible for consideration you will need to be or represent an organisation that is a member of Deliciouslyorkshire. Board Members would be required to attend bi-monthly Board meetings to coincide with member networking events around the county and Board members would act as Ambassadors for the DY brand externally to help promote and support the work that the Deliciouslyorkshire team undertakes.
