Dev Launches Duchess Choice Recipe Boxes

DUCHESS’S CHOICE RECIPES TO ENJOY AT HOME

The Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey have launched a new initiative to give customers a taste of their restaurants during lockdown.

The award-winning hotel and restaurants new Duchess-Approved Recipe Boxes will allow you to dine with aristocratic taste and style in the comfort of your own home.

The new boxes will include all the ingredients and easy-to-follow recipes to create an impressive three-course menu for two people.  Known for their delicious estate-grown produce and locally sourced fayre, each box has been designed to optimise the fresh flavours of the estates seasonal ingredients and will change weekly to reflect what’s available.

Initially being trialled at The Devonshire Arms before being rolled out to their other sites, the menus for each box have been created by Head Chef, Ross Forder who said: “Great dining has always been at the core of our hotels, with the aim of providing fresh, local and unfussy food, which showcases some of the produce raised and grown on and around our estates.

“From our farms on the Chatsworth Estate, to the kitchen gardens at our hotels and our strong relationships with local suppliers, our talented team source the very best produce to create the most delicious, memorable dishes and we’re excited to be able to bring our customers the finest food throughout lockdown and beyond.”

“Our boxes will provide you with easy to tackle recipe kits that let you serve some of our best dishes to your family.  We look forward to welcoming everyone back to our hotels and restaurants once we’re able to reopen, but in the meantime, we hope customers will be inspired and enjoy creating a unique dining experience in the comfort of their homes.”

The menu options include house-cured salmon, with gin and botanicals, horseradish & buttermilk, pickled vegetables and vanilla syrup; followed by roasted salt aged sirloin of beef with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, glazed carrots, braised red cabbage, spiced pumpkin, truffled cauliflower cheese & red wine jus and for dessert, sticky toffee pudding, vanilla custard, salted caramel & pecans and a range of vegetarian options will also be available.

The box initiative comes after a busy summer for the Devonshire team who were able to host visitors again once Lockdown measures had been eased in their pop-up Laurent Perrier Champagne & Seafood Terrace.  Further plans for a similar outdoor dining experience were planned for the autumn season but have been postponed due to current Covid restrictions.   The team are however hoping to get The Yurtshire Arms Soup Kitchen and Ale House, which was planned to run until February 2021, open once the current measures area eased.

The recipe boxes are priced at £60 and are available each week for a Friday delivery. The insulated boxes will arrive chilled to be placed in refrigerator at soon as possible and consumed at the latest by Sunday evening.
