DONCASTER BAKERY LAUNCHES DINKY PORK PIES AT SELFRIDGES FOR BRITISH PIE WEEK

SELFRIDGES shoppers will get to tuck into of a new range of Dinky pork pies from Doncaster bakery, The Topping Pie Company, when they launch at the Manchester store to coincide with British Pie Week (2-8 March).

The Dinky Topped family of speciality pork pies, handcrafted and made to Topping family recipes using British Red Tractor pork meat, will be available in the foodhall delicatessen.

Shoppers can also enjoy a slice or two at a special tasting on Saturday 7 March from 10-4pm at the Exchange Square Manchester store.

Pie lovers will be able to choose from Dinky Mature Stilton Topped pork pies topped with mature crumbled stilton cheese; the Dinky Apricot and Sultana Topped pork pie and the Dinky Caramelised red onion topped pork pie made with a sweet and tangy caramelised red onion chutney. All available 120g.

The Dinky range will complement the existing Topping pork pies available at Selfridges, including the Huntsman, Chilli, Scrumpy, Yorkshire Farmers and Traditional products.

Two new premium hot eating pies will also be introduced, including Steak & Shallots with Portobello mushrooms and Creamy cracked black pepper Chicken with Wiltshire ham and mushrooms.

The multi-award winning Topping Pie Company produces a range of speciality pork pies, hot pies and quiches using high quality, locally sourced ingredients. It started from humble beginnings in the family butchers in Doncaster market in 1961, before diversifying into a bakery business thanks to Maggie Topping’s home baking skills and her popular pies, inspired by family recipes
