Dunesforde’s wines added to the iconic Box Tree Restaurant’s menu

North Yorkshire based Dunesforde Vineyard have had two of their wines added to the menu at the iconic Box Tree Restaurant in Ilkley.

Following on from a successful 2022 which saw them take home titles at the WineGB awards, the boutique vineyard, based near York, have had their Queen of the North sparkling wine and Dunesforde Solaris included on renownedrestaurants wine list.

Founded in 2016, Dunesforde is owned and managed by the Townsend family and is one of the most northerly commercial vineyards in England.

Launching less than three years ago, it is now a multi-award-winning vineyard growing six thousand vines across four different grape varieties including Solaris, Bacchus, Pinot Noir Précoce and Pinot Gris on a six-acre site in Upper Dunsforth. 

Quickly gaining a reputation for outstanding cool climate wines, their 2018 Queen of the North was awarded this year’s regional WineGB award for Best Wine from the Midlands and the North by English wine champion Oz Clarke.
