Eventful new direction for award winning brewery

An East Yorkshire brewery is launching its new business venture at a forthcoming Wedding Fayre in Driffield.

Wold Newton based Wold Top Brewery is taking advantage of its brewery, its enviable top of the Wolds location and its TV featured Hunmanby Grange garden to launch an innovative wedding and party events company called Muddy Souls Events.

Managed by Anne Duerden, Muddy Souls Events offer brides and grooms a unique wedding and party space that can be whatever they want it to be.

Explaining the rationale behind the new venture, brewery owner Gill Mellor said; “Over the years we have held many successful events at the brewery, from charity fundraisers to the sell out Moonbeams festivals. This year we hosted our first wedding and we had such amazing feedback about the venue, the facilities and the location that we decided to launch a new business so that more people could experience the unique Wold Top wedding experience.

Anne added; “Muddy Souls Events are designed to be different. There are no set packages, just an amazingly flexible venue that can be used however people want it to be used. There are designated areas for caterers, camping and showers for guests, exclusive use of the venue for 48 hours and we’re also offering bespoke pump clips and bottle labels for a Wedding Ale at no extra charge.”

Organised by Driffield Showground Events Ltd. in conjunction with Florida Marquees, the Wedding Fayre takes place at Driffield Showground between 11am and 4pm on 25th November. Entry and parking is free and exhibitors include florists, entertainers, photographers and jewellers. There will also be a fashion show and a chance to win a bridal hamper.

The first Muddy Souls Events wedding to take place at Hunmanby Grange will be that of fourth generation Kate Mellor and Alex Balchin, both employees of the brewery, on May 4th 2013.
