Award-winning farm shop Farmer Copleys have announced the return of their popular Pumpkin Festival for 2024.
Launching on Saturday 28th September, the event, which is held at Ravensknowle Farm, near Pontefract each year, will feature over 250,000 pumpkins of every shape, size and colour.
This year’s event is fun for all the family and will include tractor rides, live shows, archery, vintage rides, witches story time, Magical Mr Zen, Velcro the Scarecrow, and daily fancy dress competition, along with photo opportunities and delicious street food.
Twilight Picking and The Sheep Show will also return for 2024 and the Pumpkin Princess and ‘Not so wicked’ Witch of the West will also be on hand to help you find your perfect pumpkin.
Run by fourth generation farmers Robert and Heather Copley who returned to Yorkshire in 2003 to set up the farm shop and butchery, the business has since gone from strength to strength and is now one of the best known in the country with a huge selection of produce made in house in their onsite bakery as well as an award-winning café and restaurant.
Owner Heather said: “We’re excited to open our Pumpkin Festival again this month, which is now the UK’s largest, and this year will be bigger and better than ever..
“It’s the perfect place for a family day out this autumn with our Farm Shop and Moo Café, along with street food and lots of activities to entertain the children.”
