Game Fair Launch for Little Red Berry’s New Tipple

A North Yorkshire based drinks company are to launch their new locally sourced tipple at this weekend’s CLA Game Fair.

Best known for their award winning fruity liqueurs, Ripon based Little Red Berry Co have created a new Elderflower and Cucumber gin using local ingredients which will be launched at the famous event.

DSCN2078Rachel Jamieson, owner of The Little Red Berry Co said: “Our customers often ask us how best to drink our liqueurs, so we decided to make something a little different from our normal range that could be mixed with tonic.  The new flavour is a blend of elderflower and cucumber, with a London dry gin and is perfect for the summer served with ice, a slice of lemon or lime and tonic.”

Provenance has been a key selling point for Little Red Berry who strive to use only the best locally sourced Yorkshire fruit where they can in their products and the new gin is no different with Yorkshire grown cucumbers sourced from Cottingham in the East Riding and a collaboration with Foston on the Wolds based Side Oven Bakery, for the elderflower.”

“It’s taken us a while to get this one to market, partly because we were keen to get it just right but mainly because we kept drinking all the samples! I had a great opportunity to introduce the new flavour to a large group when I was invited to talk at the Women in Farming event at Sandburn Hall back in March this year where the drink went down really well with the audience who also gave us some invaluable feedback!”

The Elderflower and Cucumber flavoured Gin will be available from 31st July and those visiting the CLA Game Fair at Harewood House from 31st July – 2nd August will be among some of the first to be able to purchase the refreshing new flavoured gin which will also be available throughout Yorkshire at a number of farm shops and delis.
