GIVE SANTA A MERRY CRUST-MAS!” SAYS YORKSHIRE FARM SHOP AS IT CAMPAIGNS TO GIVE A FIRST-CLASS CRUST TO CLAUSE

Hinchliffe’s Farm Shop is asking all Yorkshire children to say goodpie to mince pies and instead offer Santa a perfect pork pie this Christmas.

The family-run farm shop, based in Netherton, Huddersfield, is campaigning to see sweet pies swapped for savoury this Christmas and save poor old Santa from another mince pie!

“By the time Santa has flown half way round the world to deliver presents, he’s probably sick of the sight of mince pies,” says Hinchliffe’s director, Simon Hirst. “We’ve been crowned UK Pork Pie Champions eight times over the years and we think Father Christmas would be very merry indeed if he popped down a Yorkshire chimney and found an award-winning pork pie waiting for him instead!”

Hinchliffe’s has hit the headlines with its top-secret-recipe pies over the years, creating ‘Pork Minister’ for Yorkshire Day in 2012 (a three-foot-long giant pork pie in the shape of York Minster), and since then it has sculpted a giant Yorkshire Rose and Union Jack out of pork pie, and even featured on BBC’s The One Show after they dropped by to get a behind the scenes peek at its pies.
