We are proud to announce that we are providing the official ale for the 2013 Heart of the Wolds Sportive cycle ride.
The Heart of the Wold Sportive is to be held on the 28th April beginning at the Driffield Showground with competitors having the option of 3 different distances to challenge themselves while taking in the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds countryside.
The beer named “Maillot Juane” is the name given to the yellow jersey worn by the leader of the most famous cycle race in the world, the Tour de France which of course begins in Yorkshire in 2014.
Competitors in the event won’t die of thirst as there will be a complimentary “Maillot Juane” ale available to them at the end of the ride. The Sportive won’t be without a Great Newsome Brewery presence either with 3 members of the team taking part, be sure to read May’s newsletter for a report.
The beer is being made available now to the usual local outlets some of which will be en route.
