HECK! release new products ahead of BBQ season

Bedale based HECK! are set to launch three new products ahead of the summer BBQ season.

Building on both their popular meat and vegetarian ranges, the family run company will release their Smokey Heck Dogs and Steak and Butter Burgers, along with their Three Cheese Bangers which will be added to their expanding vegetarian range and combine red Leicester, mozzarella and Italian style hard cheese with spring onions, poppy seeds and seasoning into a flavour-packed meat-free sausage.

Created by Heck’s own Roddy Keeble and using British Pork and Beef, the new products will be available to buy from Tesco stores nationwide from 4th April and are aimed at shoppers looking to expand their BBQ repertoire for the warmer months ahead.

The launch comes after the North Yorkshire business were recently featured on the BBC’s Escape to the Country.  The programme highlighted food companies and jobs in the area and saw presenter Nikki Chapman visiting HECK’s £100,000 vertical farm unit, looking at how the company is working to reduce food miles by growing its own spinach and basil for their increasingly popular vegan range.

HECK! Co-founder Jamie Keeble said: “It was great to show Nikki around and be featured on the programme. There are some amazing food companies in this area – it’s like the Silicon Valley of food and we’re proud to be a part of that. Our team work really hard to give the best opportunities to our employees and to make HECK a fun and flexible place to work and as Nicky and the team found out it’s hard work making sausages, but we make sure our team have the best environment to work in.”

Jamie continues: “We’re really excited to launch our latest products into our range and continue to innovate with our recipes and ideas to appeal to different sections of the market.  We really hope customers will enjoy the new products and be continue to support us.”

As part of Heck’s ongoing sustainable mission, the company has also recently introduced climate labelling on all its product packaging, so that consumers can base their purchases on how they impact the environment.

Heck’s products are available at supermarkets throughout the UK as well as at food shows and events.  For more information and to find a stockist near you visit their website www.heckfood.co.uk
