Henderson’s Relish launches new ‘strong and northern’ label

Henderson’s Relish, the iconic Sheffield sauce have launched a new label.

The new look gives greater prominence to Henderson’s Sheffield heritage, as the words ‘Made in Sheffield’ sit front and center along with an image of the famous Henderson’s Relish glass bottle above a new strapline, ‘Strong & Northern’.

General manager Matt Davies said: “The new label for Henderson’s Relish highlights what we have always been, Strong and Northern, and made in Sheffield.  The new label returns to our traditional Orange colour and embossed print.”

“Henderson’s Relish is Vegan-approved and Gluten Free, and we continue to highlight these important attributes on our new label”.

It was Mr Henry Henderson who concocted his first batch of Relish in 1885. Originally made at 35 Broad Lane in Sheffield, and has been in uninterrupted production within a short distance of the site from which the first bottle was filled ever since.

Pamela Freeman, owner of Henderson’s Relish, said: “Henderson’s Relish is made to a secret family recipe, and is enjoyed all over the world.  But we are a Sheffield business, and have Sheffield values, which we celebrate on our new label”

Bottles featuring the new Henderson’s Relish label are currently in production, and are expected to hit shelves of independent retailers and supermarkets across the city in the next few days.
