International Recognition for local rural based Creative Design Agency

Rural based Creative Design Agency Black House Creative are delighted to announce that they scooped two international design awards in March at their first attempt, for excellence in both Branding and Packaging.

Black House Creative moved from the Outer Hebrides back to their native Yorkshire in December 2016, taking offices in Inverness and Pateley Bridge. 2017 saw the agency nominated for and win not one but two Muse International Design Awards, a Gold in Packaging for their work with the Isle of Skye Paint Company and a Rose Gold for branding for their work with new start up Scottish based outdoor company Wotto Otto.

Paula Chyzy, Managing Partner said “I am absolutely thrilled for the team, to be nominated for two awards is brilliant, to win one award was a real achievement at our first attempt but to win two is amazing and in our favourite areas of work ie. branding and packaging.

We have a fantastic team here at Black House Creative who continually excel in everything they do and we have a great client base who constantly like to push us and bring out the best in us. Having been so rurally based for the last 9 years we have so much experience to bring to rural businesses as we understand what they need and have to go through, but of course we also have the inner city knowledge too, which gives us that competitive edge – So that’s two entries and two awards giving a 100% record at the first attempt”.

The recent move back to the mainland comes 9 years on from first starting their creative design agency in the Outer Hebrides “we always wanted to run our own agency and with the internet it made it possible to run it from where we liked, even a small remote Hebridean island, which was our constant source of inspiration” Richard Chyzy, Creative Director and Co-Owner, Black House Creative.
The company finally made the decision to relocate back to the mainland in December 2016, one week before Christmas, moving back to their home county of Yorkshire. But not wanting to lose their Scottish roots or disappoint their Scottish clients, the agency has taken on an office in Inverness, in addition to their current base in Pateley Bridge North Yorkshire and are happily commuting up and down the A9 “Funnily enough, it takes less time to get to Inverness now to meet up with clients than it did when we were on the Isle of Lewis” Paula Chyzy.

Over the years Black House Creative have delivered huge benefits to their clients, always delivering more in profit than they take in payment. Design Council statistics show that for every £1 invested in good design delivers back more than £4 in profit.
