Drewton’s Farm Shop and Restaurant is an award-winning business based in South Cave, East Yorkshire, in a beautiful countryside location on the edge of the Wolds. The restaurant seats up to 80 covers, with a private conservatory for 25, and a courtyard for 40 in the summer months.
Opening in October 2010, the business has grown from strength to strength and we are proud to work with over 250 Yorkshire growers, farmers, suppliers and producers of food and drink.
We have a large Farm Shop with Delicatessen, Butchers, Grocer, Pantry, Gifts and Wines. Footfall is around 60,000 visitors per annum.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, motivated and passionate chef to complement our Kitchen and Bakery teams. We require an experienced Chef and will consider both full-time and part-time positions.
The Chef must have the leadership and managerial skills to work alongside the Head Chef, helping with placing orders and negotiating with suppliers when necessary, planning and costing menus, and overseeing kitchen admin to maintain the high standards of practices/procedures in line with our 5* rating awarded by the EHO. You must be able to lead by example and support the team.
The kitchen is fast paced and the menus are of a high standard, highlighting Yorkshire’s finest local produce. We also cater for in-house events and many private parties, weddings, birthdays, etc. The daytime menu offering is vast and feedback for quality of food, and presentation, is excellent.
Training and development is encouraged by Management and we welcome Apprentices and those studying further education at college. Training providers are welcome to oversee students at work and this Experienced Chef position could also be involved in overseeing training.
Other menus are created on a bespoke basis, for events.
