Join Market Town Taverns’ quest to find the Best Yorkshire Pint!

Born out of the passion for beer and the pride they have for Yorkshire’s great brewing heritage, this summer Knaresborough based pub group Market Town Taverns launch their inaugural ‘ MTT Yorkshire Beer Awards’.

Over 100 Yorkshire based breweries were invited to submit their beers for blind tasted judging undertaken by a panel of beer professionals, which took place in early May 2013. Finalists in six categories were selected by Annabel Smith (Cask Marque), Greg Mulholland (Chair of the Parliamentary Save the Pub Group and MP for Leeds North West), Gavin Frost (beer blogger), Ben Hodgkinson (James Clays), Simon Midgley (Managing Director of Market Town Taverns) and selected MTT Tavern Managers.

Now it’s over to the general public, as judging is currently open with an online voting site as well as voting forms available in all 15 MTT pubs situated across North & West Yorkshire.

Market Town Taverns say: ‘We really value our customers’ opinions on our beer and this is their chance to tell us what they think are the best cask ales and craft beer in Yorkshire. We went to great lengths to ensure the integrity and consistency of the blind tasted judging and I am happy the category finalists represent the best beers we tasted on the day’ he added.

To help voters decide, all the beers shortlisted as finalists will be available across all MTT sites during the next few weeks. Market Town Taverns will also be donating 5p from every finalist pint sold to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, so sup up and get voting!

Visit “www.mttbeerawards.co.uk”:http://www.mttbeerawards.co.uk/ or your local MTT pub to vote. Voting closes on the 30th of June and the winners will be announced at the Awards night on 1st August ““ Yorkshire Day.
