Laveracks Launch Dry Aged Steak Co

The team at an award winning East Yorkshire butchers have launched a new business delivering their specialist steaks directly to customers doorsteps.

Pocklington based A Laverack & Son’s new venture, the Dry Aged Steak Co, will deliver a range of steaks directly to customers as part of a subscription box service.

The family run butchers, who also have a shop in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor, introduced an innovative dry ageing counter into their Pocklington store back in 2018 and have enjoyed huge success with customers travelling to the area specifically for the steaks.  The new business will now allow customers nationwide to order online and have their favourite steak selections delivered directly to their doorsteps on a regular basis.

Dry Aged Steak Co’s Founder Henry Laverack said: “We wanted to build on our 150 years of butchery experience here in Yorkshire and expand outside the region.  We’re well known for our quality products in the area and the new business will allow us to extend our reach nationwide and introduce our steaks to a wider customer base.

“The cornerstone of the new service is of course the quality of the products and we’ve really focussed on a field to front door ethos.  All our meat is sourced locally from trusted farms and our steaks carefully aged for between 40 – 70 days to create a really top quality product.”

The subscription service will enable customers to sign up online and have steaks delivered either on a monthly or even weekly basis with each box containing their chosen steaks along with recipe cards and seasonings as well as a free Dry Aged Steak Co apron with their first order.

Henry continues: “The boxes are proving really popular already and in time we’re hoping to develop our offering further with some exciting collaborations with other companies in the pipeline and more ideas to make Friday steak night even more enjoyable!
